Songs of the Saints

Songs of the Saints is a new hymnal project that seeks to preserve the best hymns and psalms of the past and gather the best hymns and songs of the present to create a collection that will be useful for encouraging current-day saints as well as equip the next generation of saints to proclaim the Faith through song.

Square Halo Books has brought together a variety of musicians, scholars, liturgists, worship planners, pastors, and lay leaders to make the selections for this new hymnal. The chosen songs are all firmly rooted in the Bible, and well-tested in actual congregational singing. This elegant, hardback, cloth-covered hymnal was deigned by Ned Bustard, the illustrator and designer of the Every Moment Holy liturgies, and is organized based on the structure of a church service.

NOTE: A special feature of this project is that churches may contribute (or request) their favorite hymns and spiritual songs based. For every 50 hymnals purchased one song may be requested or contributed. (This is a limited offer and will no longer apply after the first 1000 hymnals are pre-sold. All hymns and songs suggested will be evaluated by the team Square Halo has formed for this project. Due to the design of the hymnal and copyright restrictions, alternate requests may need to be made.) We believe that this is an important feature of this project because it will provide a means of sharing music which would not ordinarily find its way out of one tradition or community into another. This hymnal will only be completed if there is a real need for it in the Church.
